Thanks for the feedback. We're always trying new things and thought this would be a fun way to make a bit of a change from our last few offerings. But if the people don't like it...

Agreed with the close ups, nice idea, but you ended up a little too close toward the end.

    I disagree .

I don't think the problem was that it was too close, I think the camera just skipped about too much. There seemed to be three cameras used there, but they've been edited in such a way that it flips about from one to another too quickly imo.

Other than that, it looked very professional .

I'm indifferent on the choice of shot, close ups are there to show facial expression; not really necessary here But I agree that you should have a play and see what works best for you. I think a mix would've been better.

I do agree with the choice of editing, it was too quick and fast paced, almost felt like a showdown in some cases. Put it on mute and I'd be expecting one of you to reach for your holster Maybe the guy from AMD lurking around in the background still

I'm really liking all the Hexus.TV content so far, it's exactly what I want to see on the internet and it's moving things forward. We now have the technology to make videos the norm as YouTube has shown so why not get some decent content out there?

As regards with the editing I have to agree with what's been said so far, just tidy it up a little At one point the camera was focused on the Intel logo in the background rather than the guy which was pretty distracting, I know Intel must sponsor these videos having their logo at the end but seriously...

Overall a MASSIVE step in the right direction in my opinion, good work!

i hate to talk about the actual making of the video rather than what was said but...
It sounded like you where using the mic's on the cameras, which is a no no cos you can hear the camera men rattling about. I did notice a mic clipped onto dom and you could hear the difference between him and (i assume that was) David, who sounded like he was just being picked up by the camera mics.

I think if you got a cheap little mixer and a couple of clip on Condensor mics for who ever is talking and a cheap compressor with a gate on it to hide all the rattling and hum in the background, it would improve these videos so much!

Actually we almost exclusively use tie-clip mikes, but we can't always choose our interview locations and they can be pretty noisy - so even short-range mikes like this pick up a lot of background. Your best bet in this environment is a short-range, directional handheld mike. Which I suspect we will be using more of for vox-pop type stuff at shows.
