Quite frankly, I would want this in my home.
Remote manage PCs on my network from wherever I am in the world? I'll have a BIG slice of that please! |

Sounds a little overkill for home (look at the price of Microsoft SMS Server, ouch!) but definately interesting stuff and should be exciting for corporate users, especially since it works with existing tools.

Now that's some technology - presumably relatively simple to implement, yet it's going to be extremely useful and productive - excellent feature guys!

I found that really interesting, really was a good demonstration of something I was struggling to understand from the discussion that was previously available. Really nice blue screen'ing or something there, only fault I can find and its being really picky is that it I could not make out exactly what was being clicked upon due to the screen capute being at an angle and also in a fairly small box. But none the less its very imformative

Just for laughs, I went to Gateway's site and configured two PCs with identical spec and software. The business PC with a vPRO board ended up $150 more. Cheaper than installing a remote management card, but definitely a cost increase.
I'd be interested to know how often admins need to fiddle with a user's BIOS or remotely reboot a frozen desktop when there's no-one present. Last edited by charleski; 02-02-2007 at 03:21 PM.. |
