    The Flight: BBC1-1930-04/05/07

BBC1 are doing an half hour documentary of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) tonight, following them through a flying season, including the Queen's fly past. Don't know if it'll be any good, but thought I would mention it as a couple of people here might be interested.

That was pretty good actually. Didn't realise that some of the pilots on the Typhoon also flew in the BBMF. I remember talking with the Station Commander at our Christmas dinner when he was being trained up in the Chipmunk, and he said he nearly crashed it! "If you're in a single prop aircraft, and the propeller stops, it's not a good thing!". Luckily, he had the height to restart it

Incidentally, I'm one of guys in the background marshalling (waving at) the Typhoons as they come in.

I'll ask around at work as I'm sure someone would have got a copy of it somewhere.
