Saitek x45 problems. Help!!
A friend has just purchased an x45 and is having major probs with installing it. He originally tried it of the cd then tried the latest drivers. When it gets to the license agreement it says to agree but there isnt an agree box so he cant continue, bloody odd any ideas? Hes using a 9800pro latest drivers so aint that, could it be sommit in the registry?
Please help Flibb PS will be getting one myself so tried the drivers and they are fine on my PC, ohh yeah hes running XP same as me. |

Flibb, did he fully remove the old driver set? He has to use the Nuke USB file to do this as this clears the registry as well.
First unplug the controller and then open the C:\Program Files\Saitek\Drivers directory. Run the NukeUSB file and from the NukeUSB window select the controller and then click Remove Selected Devices. Click OK and then run the NukeBus file from the same folder. Now go to Control Panel and run the Add/Remove Programs icon. Select the 'Software' entry and then click Add/Remove. Let it uninstall and then do the same thing for the Saitek Smart Technology Drivers entry. Restart the computer and the files will all be uninstalled. Now re-install with the latest driver set making sure to ONLY plug in the X45 when prompted. And after typing all that, I've had another thought.... Get him to scroll all the way down the license agreement, sometimes you have to go to the end before the agree box appears.... |

do you have to run nuke in C:\Program Files\Saitek\Drivers, I think he ran it from desktop. Fingers crossed this will sort it. He doesent even have a scroll bar on the license agreement but you can scroll using the mouse wheel, on my system I get scroll bars, is truly odd.
Thanks for help. Flibb

Looks like could be a windows problem, hes going to give some 3rd party drivers and mapping software a go. Anyway got my one yesterday so will be installing that 2day. Will be selling my logitech force feedback on egay to fund it. So watch your 6 I might be after you.
On fire, 1 wing missing and desperately trying to remember which button I mapped to eject ![]() Flibb
