Sat Night (6th Oct) may be Online 1946 night
Lo pilots.
I think that we should aim to try to fly as a team, on other people's servers, on Saturday night. Program for the event: I'll host a Team Speak Server. Will post you all details of the IP and port number, and the password later. I think we will look towards jumping into Dogfight Servers all evening, and running as a squadron to try to achieve the following: Team Work, including successful voice comms Teaming up and STAYING teamed...something which is very hard online. Achieving team success online with whichever teams we choose, be fulfilling map objectives on the servers rules. Spit's vs 109's is currently running some very nice maps. We will be trying to fly on servers with NO externals on....so get your hat switches mapped and practice in the run up. Essential keys to be mapped: Manual Gear up and Manual Gear down...in case we end up in i-16's. I suggest using CNTRL and then G and B, basically the same keys as normal gear up and down, but with CNTRL held. Make sure you all know where your prop pitch and mixtures and superchargers are. I use Page Up and Page Down for Prop pitch up and Prop Pitch down. 100% is revving it's tit's off.....95% is sightly more "bite" into the air, 90% more so etc. radiators...normally R Mixture : I use Insert and Delete for mix up and down.... up to 3000m 100% is ok. Superchargers....I use Home and End for up and down level....level 1 is for up to about 2500 m, above that prolly Lvl 2 I expect Nav Lights and Wing Smoke to be available, in case we're struggling with id's, though we WILL get shouted at as it's officially a bit naughty. Bind them in case. Make sure you PUSH TO TALK on Team Speak is a free key.... Try to get into this habbit....when typing things, push the ` key TWICE...this way you deifenately will type numbers properly. If you hit it once and then start a sentence with a digit, the quick type box will move down to the number you hit OK....clear pilots? |

I'm up for it. Haven't played for a bit, so will have to practise at some time just to remember all the keys I binded on my X52!
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt; then it's bloody hilarious!

I have to admit, I checked the solution, but only to confirm my suspicion... and I was right. It's VERY difficult on a wee lappy screen, when I'm used to my super dooper 21" at home.....
Tomorrow's going to be a bit difficult for me I'm afraid.. got a birthday party to go to... but I may only stop an hour or so as I don't really want to go anyway... we'll see. |

I spotted but only after wiping over the blob with my finger and then obscuring it with my mouse.
I can't do saturday, weekends are bad for me unless it is later on a sunday night. Hopefully we can fly one night in the week too! |
