From what i know about NTL, they check mac addresses before they allow you online. I just need to work out how i mask those addresses from NTL, i'm sure others do it.

We just make your machine the gateway to the internet. I'm sure its possible. Even got a hub here we can use if neccessary.

I'll let you know when i know the situation.

I think you can get most routers to spoof a MAC address

Indeed, most routers could spoof the mac.
Second Nic in the machine would also work.
Set in to 192.168.0.1 and enable internet connection sharing on it.

Pm me chaps this easy peasy....

I think my final question would be Zak's not got a router afaik, I know how to do everything bar spoof mac addresses.

Thats the only thing i need answering.

Hmm, Jiff knows what works better on NTL that i do. If second network card is going to be fine with NTL then there isn't a problem.

I could set this up, i'm sure. I've got a 4 port 10/100mbit hub too with a couple of sets of cables, more if i need.

so we looking at the last weekend in September then? if so I'll try to get some time off - I'll need the Friday and Monday for travelling you see. I reckon it'll take me about 5-6.5 hours to get from my front door to Zak's or Trig's providing I can find em
