LOMAC this week: Free flight mission complete!

Since it looks like Thursday this week is out for a fair few of us how's about tomorrow at 8.30-9.00? The mission is done - 6 ship flight, and we're in Su27s - the 33 hadn't got the skin I wanted for the flight and they're basicly the same so it'll do.

Briefing

Mission is a long one - we'll be doing a one way flight from one side of the Crimea to the other delivering some Su27s in preparation for the airshow next week. This is a perfect opportunity to brush up on our formation flying. Every waypoint is an airfield so if we're short on fuel we can stop and pick some up. The last few waypoints are through the hills so it'll be fast and furious low level stuff to keep us amused.

Keep an eye out for other formation teams, don't want any collisions.

Oof, dunno if Blinkz connection can cope with so many peeps. Guess we'll have to see who turns up and just try from there. I'll edit the mission to accomodate 8, but I guess we'll have to see how it holds up. Can't be having nasty lag in the middle of a close packed formation.

On the upside we'll be running the "Recover" cheat, so should we have a mishap, we can rejoin from where we crashed by pressing Escape, then clicking RCVR.

Oh btw lads, please don't change the skin or loadout - remember we're delivering planes. Wouldn't go down well if we deliver the wrong ones now.

why change the skin its the best one there imo.

We need to get in real tight and try out the afterburners to see if we can scorch the paintwork aswell. you didnt let me get that close yesterday.

Right, mission's been adjusted and I tried it out. No lag on loading like before and no fps problems. Touch wood.

Another hint for later, auto throttle. Press J once you're at the correct speed and the computer holds the speed for you. All you have to worry about then is the flying.
