Call Of Duty 4 - BFE

If anyone enjoys CoD4 but is gettina bit sick of death nades and grenade launchers then i would recomend people join the BFE community. All skills are welcome and wether u are in a seperate clan aswell doesnt really matter as you get assigned to a specific team anyway.

Basically you have long long wars that last for hours and you can join/leave throughout the day whenever you please. The war will go through a veriety of maps and game modes.

I played my first match today and it was great fun, way more fun than public!

You must have Teamspeak (freeware) and be fully registered on the BFE forums

Yeah its a good game mate

Graphics are still DX9 but top notch. Excelent game engine will run on a fairly low spec machine. Single player is short but real engrossing and multiplayer is fast and very popular

Its a tournament which uses a mod that cutomises COD4. We test custom maps and then use them in the tournament as well as custom weapons & gametypes although there isnt much in the way of the latter at the moment

It seems to have been the site almost all other websites were linking to... but the Total Gaming Network website returns a 503 error - "Service not available" now Zak, so good luck

Maybe Biscuit could point us in the right direction?

I hate the way that CoD4 tournaments have made cod4 less and less like what makes call of duty 4 different and more and more like every other fps out there.

:/ BFE doesnt do that?! It removes some things like matrydom and the airstrike/helis but they are hardly practical for competetive play.

BFE has a custom made mosin nagart in it also

pretty sure you can turn off the option for airstrikes etc in custom game settings if your the host. It is that way on the 360 anyway, though no martyrdoms sounds like a blessing

Looks interesting I'll have to bookmark this for later in the year when I have my new computer built as my current system isn't upto the job (currently playing COD on PS3 but the drop grenade perk can really get to you).
