Right, Pee and I play tested the mission earlier. There's a couple of bugs that needs ironing out, but I tell thee - the A10s are in for a veritable FEAST of targets. Pee and I exhausted our supplies and there were tonnes of stuff left to shoot.
![]() On the Frogfoot's side.. well it's a hell of a lot harder. Too hard infact, so I'm going to tone it down a little bit. I'm going to type up a Frogfoot tutorial later for you guys since it's a bit of a suprise if you've never flown one before. Many of the systems will be familiar and the dials the same as the 27/33. However, a couple of the weapon systems are a little different. Please try to familiarise yourself with the Frogfoot a little to lessen the blow of flying such a "backward" aircraft.

Just did a practice run with Lowe and Pee and I must say it was rather enjoyable!
![]() I think I did ok, now I've learnt how to drop cluster bombs and use the Mavericks (well cool) also using my cannon. Cheers for that Lowe, will be very helpful in our mission (practice) on Friday. What were the unguided bombs we were using?
If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

Yeah we fly on a Thursday Al.
![]() The unguided bombs we were using were Mk20 "Rockeye" Cluster munitions. For the record, the A10 drops all unguided bombs this way so if you can use Rockeyes you can use anything - Mk84s, Mk82s etc |

Umm, we need a 'smack the forehead' and a 'd'oh' smiley.....
![]() I'm totally lost this week. Am thinking it's Thursday today! Right, looking forward to our mission on Thursday!

Aaaaaaarrrrrrrgh, doesn't look like I'm gonna be able to make it for the A-10 mission this evening, my broadband connection/wireless network is having a few problems, and at the mo is about as much use as a one legged man in an ass kicking competition.....
So don't wait around for me guys....but it will be sorted soon I hope, but i'm stuck on the ground for the moment. I know, how STUPID can I be!!!
![]() I'm sober now, and will continue to be throughout the day so I can fly straight tonight. Oh, BTW, last night I tried to start the A-10 campaign thinking, 'I know the basics now...' Well, how wrong could one be?? I got shot down in each mission bar one, and in that one I had a terrible time landing coz I was like this: ![]() Also had holes in the right engine! ![]() Sorry for the size! It was so difficult to land, had to hold the yoke nearly all the way to the right!

Take out the greatest threats from a distance using the mavericks. Dont go rushing things, take the edge off the job in hand from a distance then you can get stuck in to mopping up with bombs/rockets/cannon etc. It looks like they've ripped you up after you've passed over them in an attacking run - so, when you've unloaded on them - take eveasive manouvres and make it hard for them to take a piece of your ass.

Hmm, I can't seem to lock on with the Mavericks like Lowe showed me, I look in the camera and can't see ****! When I think I'm near, I prees tab and fire and it flies off into the sky. Only things I can use are cluster bombs, but I have to come in low coz I can't see where they're gonna blow up otherwise...

For mavericks zoom into the hub and place the target selector thingy over the target and go down to the mfd then fine tune the target into centre of the xhair and press tab to lock up. once a wee cross I thikn flashes you got a good lock then fire.
Tbh I'm still hit and miss a bit with the old mavs |

You prolly wont be able to see what it's fixed on but rest assured if you cant slew the seeker head away from that point - it's found a target - hit fire and F6
![]() Remember if yuu are flying too close to the ground the TV display aint gonna see a fat lot. Get up in the air and it'll give you a better top down view. Use the instant A10 fly button in the main menu to practice with the mavericks. Enemy cant shoot back - it's a complete duck shoot and best place to learn. As for bombing - you should see a big circle - a pipper circle but you WONT see that if you are flying low and horizontal - you have to fly DOWN to the target to see the pipper and that will show you where the computer calculates the bombs will land. Place pipper circle over enemy and fire.

Ok, cheers for the hints. I'll have another go soon.
