Wohoo I shot a Commie down!

That german plane is so so fast!

Anyway, I just got the il2 demo, me likes it! Now all I need a joystick because using the arrow buttons to shoot things really sucks, not to mention that I stalled every time I tried to climb after a dive

So, where to get a cheap joystick?

Define cheap??? I've got a Saitek Evo - I forget how much it was, but if you don't want to remortgage then its a good option.

Remortgage? I don't get it! I am looking at something no more than £30 if possible!

German planes require more skill to use

Remortgage - borrowing money on the value of your property with said property as security on the aforementioned loan...

....in short what I meant was as a cheap option the Cyborg Evo I've got is a good choice

    right....its decision time...

Gold has throttle at FRONT EDGE....

Evo has throttle under your thumb at REAR EDGE.

Most pilots on here rate the throttle at the front.....you use your thumbs on the buttons at the back of the base.
I rate the throttle under your thumb at the back and the buttons on the front.

Both are ace....fine joysticks..go TRY them in PC World man..you got too.

    OKL......Luftwaffe...yup.

In some servers you can fly whatever you like with any markings you want..but it gets complex then....

besides....much as I enjoy the power and speed of Fw 190's and the turning of the 109's....there is only one Lagg3 andonly 1 La5 or 7...only one Yak9 and deffo only one Il2 or I153

    And they are all RED

OK! I got a st2900 for 24quid, but I am a biit drunk so I am not sure if I should get that or the other on for 34 with more buttons on the base. I am only going to use it for the sturmkov so I don't really need many buttons...oh well! I am off to bed now

Wrong.. you need as many buttons as you can get.. the more functions you got on the stick, the less you gotta muck about with the keyboard. I have all the buttons used on my stick and 80% of the keyboard too.. many many functions...

I prefer to leave most functions to the keyboard, the only thing i use the joysticks extra buttons for are toggling the gunsight view and landing/nav lights.

I'm with Knoxy on this - little point in mapping a key to your joystick that you are only going to hit 1-2 times a mission.
