Just started again after losing my ranking with a OS re-install a few months back.

Im finding it hard work, but wow, totally forgot how cool this game is. Does anyone have a link / list of what you get at what rank?

She was half woman, half fish. Terrible in the kitchen, but a bloody good swimmer.

I can't aim while I jump and strafe round corners, I have never been much good at that, unless it;s with a splash damage weapon like a rocket launcher in Quake. My mouse skills on moving targets are really really bad, and prolly always will be because I snatch my hand to much.

Sooo... after a few months of great enjoyment but horrific inusry, I am now playing more self-protective and I love the Domination maps.

I also must note I'm back to a fresh install of the game, version 1.1 I think and wont go back to 1.7 for a while. 1.1 seems very much more sedate....1.7 j...I just got mullered every secind of every minute...was horrible.

I'm not fast enough to play with the big boys ya see
I have exactly these problems, I thought it was just me. I'm level 44 or something like that and have got there by pure hard graft. I rarely finish more than half way up the leader board, often in the bottom half, and I die ALOT. I do find sometimes that playing a completely different game for a while before hands seems to help me warm up, otherwise it takes me a while to adjust to the game each time I play it.
I don't have to time or desire to become really good, but the game has enough of a draw to keep pulling me back, but it don't half get frustrating sometimes...

It's hard, but man, it's satisfying when it all comes together. I've stopped running off to win the map, and started playing with a strategy. And it's paying off.

But holy hell, I have a bridge to cross.

4500 deaths to 3500 kills...I need to make up over 1000 on my ratio! I was dire at this game to begin with, but carried on getting good scores by sacrificing myself on every map to win flags in Domination. I regret that now

Anyone got a really good killt o death ratio? I'm managing to draw even in half the maps and come out on top on the other half, with the occassional monster massacre when it all goes really well.

I've just started evening up my ratio aswell I had about 1600 more deaths than kills, now I've reduced it to 600. Entering presteige mode wasn't the best thing to do while you try and even things out though. Time played 3days 2hr's.

    I'm looking forward to COD5.

I simply love cod4, i got it when it came out and have since restarted due to format now im lvl 19 and have no idea what k : d ratio i have hehe, but i find that if you use a good mouse it really does make the diference, my logitech mx510 died and since then ive been playing much worse than before .

Does anyone know some good friendly clan servers? i think the next step for me is joining a clan, and the best way to do that is play on the clanserver .

Prestige mode isn't that difficult, when I started second prestige the first match I played I topped the scoreboard and got 2 helicopters, after all you start off with the M16 and the MP5, arguably the 2 best weapons on the game.

A bragging thing as far as I'm concerned. When you reach Lvl55, you can basically start all over again, but with a different badge! You get to do that 10 times, with a different badge each time.

    That is exactly right,

Re: CoD4, the next stage for me

I'm well upset with COD4 lately. Have played since release every now and then and over the months have built up quite a nice list of accomplishments. Got to level 55, had all the weapons and most of the added stuff, even managed to get a couple of gold weapons. I always used to backup the files too to save my progress. However, due to a system crash lately, I tried re-installing and every time I load my saved files back in it says that it can't read them and sets my lvl to 1!

It's a bit annoying since I would've thought they would have the money and ability to store this information online, I have lost months worth of progress due to this and have to start from the beginning again.

If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

I'm up to level 43 now on my 10th time around and for me it's nothing to do with bragging at all. I've enjoyed the levelling up each time, for me it's added something to the game that's made me keep on playing it. Now I've reset the maximum amount of times, I'm going for all the weapon challenges.

I'm sure you will know that's there's two types of online gamers, the first being those who like to have fun and relax, the second being those who want others to see them as being "uber leet" etc... The latter WILL use it for bragging rights.
