No games for me for a while...

Psu's on the way out, my trusty old Qtec 350w is finally giving up the ghost.. lots of horrible noises when the GfX card asks for more juice

I've orderd a cheapo case with a 400w from ebuyer, cheap but will keep me going for another year !

No need to another case m8, you could have just bought an Ebuyer 550w PSU for around £12 and whacked that in. I have one in my cruncher and thats been going fine for ages.

Yeah fair point chaps, but you have to see my case to understand
Old doesn't even begin to describe it, most of the PCI screws are threaded, the only thing thats holding my GFX card in is the AGP slot

Kill 2 birds with one stone, as cheap as possible tbh

hehe. What case did you go for? I made a system not long ago using one of the flower cases from Ebuyer, think it was £15 with a 400w PSU. Not bad at all really.

    This one m8

    http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=51066

Nothing special, £15, 400w PSU (apparently quiet too)

    Cant' argue with that

How do you pay? I have a £12 PSU powering my second Rig, which is a XP1800 @ 2ghz, it's at full load 24/7 (cruncher) and it's been fine for over a year now. Very stable as well

Skii.....I'm gonna hurt your feelings a bit now.

    Those cases are just cack

If the PSU is suspect in ANYWAY, tell me cos Ihave a nice Chieftec one here (its a 330 watt job and ran my Athlon no hassle)

Hope that JNC case is better than the 3 I got last year.....when ebuyer had a free delivery offer I ordered 5 cases and 100 cd gem cases!

Sold the lot...but what a flimsy, "sharp-cut-your-fingers-off" case making process they use.

I pray its nicer ..I do

    I know its cack m8

I'm not expecting anything special for 15 squid, as long as it holds everything in place and has enough power to run 1 or 2 HDDs and 1 CD/R I'm happy

When the PSU fails I'll replace it - cases ain't a big thing to me tbh,, I end up covering them in crap and spill drinks on them - as long as it stops all the bits falling into a pile thats cool by me

    - its what comes up on the screen that counts

JNC cases, like Zak said are not the best. Yes there are a lot better cases out there, but then you get what you pay for, and they do the job fine at the end of the day.

Never used a JNC PSU though so I can't comment on that, my JNC case has the Ebuyer PSU in.

Oh and as for cuts from a JNC case, this is the best I have managed.....so far

He's right...I have done the same thing too...and trying to get the SIDE BACKON on one made me so angry I gave it to someone.

Reminds me of when I 'scalpelled' my thumb whilst making my Tamiya Tiger 2

    Cutting away from me

I'll never forget that feeling of the blade slicing cleanly through my hand mmmmm

Would have got a photo but Terri was too busy holding me over the sink in a vein attempt to stop the blood flying over everything
