I think mine would be the P51-D. Always loved that plane! Mid day over the fields of England. If not that, then a C47 Goony bird. That's what my grandfather flew during WWII.

Enola gay, and I'd redirect it to Stoke.

As I could wish for any scenario, I might as well take off from one of the most significant places in Western Europe during the cold war. (It's only about 3 odd miles from where I live (Also yes I know this particular aircraft was never actually stationed there, although the base did have the capacity to accomodate it )

So name the aircraft, and name the location.
    B52 from Lakenheath or Cotishall?

Re: Which ONE aircraft would you take a flight in given one wish?

I've always wanted to fly a WWII US Navy Corsair - love the look of them, and told they handle incredibly well. Obviously I'd then have to fly a Spitfire for benchmarking purposes, but the Spit for all it's brilliance prob wouldn't be able to thunk onto aircraft carriers in quite the same ferocity.

More modern planes, Concorde obviously, SR71 Blackbird, Harrier, B52, Vulcan, shoot there are too many. What about Ekranoplans or The Spruce Moose???

but at this point in time, I'll give my wish to Aurora - google it. I wants me a go please, pretty please

(ps the person who said TSR2 - such a shame it never got built)

yup sorry I meant built and entered service. World beating British tech and the then government panned it. Labour are capable of stupid cutbacks too! IIRC they used a lot of the tech of the TSR2 on the Tornado.
