    One Year Anniversary :)

Zak33 has been in IL-2 for 1 year.

Deckard gave me the Disks as a Birthday present.....last year...took me a week to install...

    and thats today

What an AWESOME year....have met SO MANY cool people

    Cheers pilots.......thanks a million

Funny thing is....even tho I'm not on Dak/Hat levels of skill......I'm not bad now.... so I now see what you all told me.....

    it takes time.

BUT this is only one year....and yet is SEEMS like....like....

    for ever

Better go now before I get sloppy and chuck Trig a wet kiss

but my life's got better cos I re found my love of planes, visit museums stuffed with em, air shows, and best of all

Roughly the same for me. Tough I don't have an exact date. A friend of mine had a copy of IL2 installed on his laptop when I went to visit him one afternoon. I took one look at it and thought - bejesus, flight sims have come on a bit since the days of my Acorn Electron (I think I owned Harrier Strike Force, and some aweful 747 sim).

Money was parted with, then more money to get the thing working well, then I started playing online and realised Forgotten Battles was the thing, then I started on VEF in September last year, and found the Marlins and all you other guys in November.

But yes, best of all it has rekindled my adolescent obsession with all things flyable. To the point where I decided I had to fulfill the long put off of ambition of learning to fly for real. Maybe if I'd realised all the capital outlay buying this game was going to involve I'd have thought twice

It has to tbh.. if this were real... we'd owe each other sooo much as regards saving each other's lives... you can't do that stuff without the aftereffects of becoming almost like a family... I know it's a game but crikey... nothing like a game to see the proper person through the persona...
