IL2's ground pounding goes right ;)
Sorry to bore people this time with news of my progress, but after a torrid day of 5 concecutive deaths with no score in vef i've managed to get some positive result of a mission.
6 confirmed kills of primary targets, leading the rest of the IL2's successfully to target with great support from STOO, especially spotting the 2nd wave.... didn't manage to get home, but bailed successfully from a bot ai bf109. TiG

My IL2 was positively filled with holes..
  Most of my tailplane was missing, big see-through holes in each wing, and I'm not sure what was holding the back end of the fuselage on..  Had a bloody queue of them after me.. Managed to limp it home though

Yeah, I saw this from where I had had my own personal barbie... It was pretty cool to see this stream of planes go by, all chasing after Stoo and his smoke trail...
What was funny was the mix of planes... a smoky IL2 followed by a 190, then another IL2, a LAGG, a 190, another LAGG... all having a pop at each other... and all the while Stoo babbling away about wanting to be left alone...

I was waaaay to far back to be of any help, the last 190 that ahd a pop at you I tickled a bit before I ran out of ammo while he ran off, shoulda got a bit closer to him tbh but he knew I was there n started to run....
Good game tho
