    God i've missed VEF

Been pretty much out of it for quite a while now due to college, numerous pc formats and various other stuff, flown a couple last week and been in a few df servers with you guys but thats been about all of the time i've spent in the air over the last few months.

Tonight though was vef at its best, i16 attack on a convoy in quite possbly the worlds crappest conditions , deckard and luke lost it on take off. After a pretty shakey take off due to the wind I had a hard job navigating as visibility at anything below 1500 was dismal at best, eventually found my way to the target and took it on as best i could eventually using up all my ammo because the wind was throwing my aim off so badly, dropped tanks and headed for home the entire time on the edge of my seat because every so often i'd see tracer fire above me in-between the lightning strikes.

Made it home to see plumes of smoke from the earlier accidents leading me in to land, possibly my worst landing ever followed as i bounced my way down the runway trying to keep from being blown over by the wind.

I'd forgotten just how much fun this game can be

You fly like a pro last night mate From a 10 player start only 6 made it up. The tracer fire you saw 1st time was me firing on 5 x 109s who had let me join the 6 of thier formation and didnt relise I was a yak till I opened up on the rear one

He bugged out damaged but I then had 4 other rather miffed 109s after me so I stuck the nose down and lost em in the gunk.

Climb back up a few miles away and came back for round 2 . This time 3 x 109s I managed to bounce, damaged 335th Atheo, then Pegasuse got a hit on me and I ran for the deck again only this time had fiddle all controls and couldnt evade Platon who added another MA to his tally

The sensible thing was to go home the first time but couldnt bring myself to cause they were hunting Knoxeh in the murk below.

The weather was full blown mad, clouds, lightning and fook all vis below 2500

As the only red player to score Knox I Salute you

    S!

    Excellent Chaps,

Dont be put off by those whiners who dont like flying in bad weather.

They're the same ones who were whining that we didn't have enough weather variation in VEF a few months back.....

Heh Knoxy, i'm only just getting into this, and its the most frustrating thing at times, getting better without a doubt though, now got a score of 63 in a single mission. I MUST stop flat spinning planes though, done that twice in last few missions

But when it goes right oh baby yeah!

I need to get up more.. I specifically practice flying in abysmal conditions from time to time... and I only ever seem to fly VEF in blindin sunlight
