Nice shots, have you been sitting by your camera since the others flew past the other day?

To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

Right, i've found out what it's all about. It's the Queen's birthday bloody flypast . They formed up off Southwold before buggering off down to buzz Buckingham Palace. What you saw the other day, Stoo, must have been the dry run.

naa, they flew over several times so I had plenty of time to grab the camera and start snapping

I just wish I had a better camera, the photo's get quite grainy out on the maximum (3x) optical zoom..

Aaaah, looks like they combined both that and the RAF Neatishead flypast then

Actually, that's a bit odd, that's a damned long way away to form up for a fly-past...

Not really, when you think about where they've all had to come from, and the fact they've got to get through a lot of busy airspace in an orderly fashion.

I spotted it in todays NOTAMs. A big stay the **** out of the way of this notice.

    Ooh, got a linky?

A couple of fast jets were ignoring it earlier, they were having a right dogfight over the sea

Know a man in the Air ministry all very hush hush strictly on a need to know basis

It's from the Aeronautical Information Services website. But the sites of pretty limited use if you're not familar with the terms to input to get the data - I'm trying to learn to use it at the moment.

Better for a quick reccie of what's going on in your region is this.

    http://www.nats.co.uk/operational/pibs/index.shtml

It has the same data, just compiled into blocks for the Flight Information Regions. Useful for the eager beaver planespotter.

Ahhh, I found that earlier used the paragliding assoc. login (also googled ) and ended up with a huuuuuuge list of eeeeverything

That second link looks useful.. do they have the info up of when the fighter jocks are going to be screaming about and waking me up?

Oh, that's another point, are those standard map co-ords?
