Should be fine, I don't use prop pitch myself very often even though i should and for basic dog fighting it ain't essential. Engine mixture you'll need if you wanna climb above 3.5k in any of the russian planes really. p40/51/39/38 all have auto mixture as do the spitfires and hurri's iirc but when you get up to around 3.5k in something like a yak for instance the engine starts to puff out smoke so you have to knock the mixture down to 80% and you'll re-gain the performance that disappears, the same thing happens again when you go higher so you need to bring down the mixture in 10/20% intervals until its right, don't forget to put it back up when you come back down though

prop pitch you'll be fine without.....
Mixture...Superchargers... Superchargers UP to level 2 at "about" 2400 Mixture DOWN to 80% at "about" 3000 or you'll leave a black pume of unburned fuel across the sky. For reference...I use the following, with a sticky paper under neath to remind me Insert Mix Up Del Mix Down Home Supercharger Up End Supercharger Down Page Up Prop pitch Up Page Down Prop pitch down. That way they're all together (on most keyboards) AND you can stick a bit of paper underneath
