Does anyone please have a good link to the actual download of the newest patch?

Patch order is:
4.08, 4.09, 4.10 and 4.10.1 patches to be installed first and I think there's a hotfix... for the latest 4.11m.. pls guys help with finding thwe links so we can keep it listed here.

Really don't understand this now and I was good at patching.

I'm on 4.10
think I need 4.11 and then hotfix patch but what was 4.101?

Not even got il2 installed atm, would of been nice if seeing as the games on steam if steam patched it for you...

no way... not since Daedalus took over.

It's been through all sorts since then.

I THINK best route is fresh 1946 install and one big overlay patch.. but then it needs a bloody hot fix anyway and most sites need a sign up for the download AND they come with numerous other upgrades.

It's gettling like ARMA.... you need to be a developer to play the sodding thing,

Hi all, Just dug out the old PW and logged in.

I've even got the new cliffs of dover installed, but still got the IL2 1946 install here.
I have since passed the older versions on and just kept the 'complete edition' & 1946.

Looking through the notes, theres a 4.12 planned as well.

Seems that IL2 is not dead and buried even though 'cliffs of dover' was launched

Perhaps I'm reading this as too easy.
But I think it's as simple as downloading the 4.11 patch and then applying the hotfix on top if you've got the CTD error (whatever that is)

when patch 4.12 comes out, that'll have the hotfix in it, so you won't need it again.

I've chased down a site to grab it from now.. although the ones on that link mainly need sign up's or are removed! But one worked.

would be good to get back together, though it might be a bit of a relearning curve again.

I've stuck a post in the MA forum about how to patch the more common versions up to present.

As Trig pointed out, there have been a few extra addons, but one thing I like about this game is that you need only have bought the original IL2 and can still patch up to 4.11 to play with the rest, just without some of the extra maps and addons...

Pity EA and a few other developers couldn't follow the formula.

NUTS.. you just never know.. the game scales so well to new CPU's, and I'm still crap at it.... 2012 is no diff to 2006!!
