    Best moment youve never recorded?

What the best moment youve had in IL2/Lomac that you didnt record or get a screen grab of?

I gutted I didnt record my last VEF 4 v 4 Quick gen, in a LA5FN on intercept. Planned it smart, got to 5500 avoided the 109s and came in on the 110s 9oclock hi.

Bounced the with EAF Ledzep perfect

Tough Sobs the 110s damaged 1 and came back for another go, next ones rear gunner stopped my engine however I was carry a stack of excess E so zoomed up and feathered prop pitch to 0% stall turned it and dived onto the 110 that had finished engine. Blew his tail clean off with last rounds in guns, leveled out waited till he hit deck and I got the kill then bailed at 1500m. As the other 4 110s were bombing our base by then I didnt feel lucky enough to dead stick as well

So lets have em pilots whats your *kicked myself for not recording that* moment?

Loads, dogfighting with MajLoHan in between their Heinkels whilst Hat demolished them (Well, think he got lost so landed, but that's no fun is it ) and making him explode

Also dogfighting with PD_CH over a blue airfield and shooting him down in a headon in a cloud

And theres the obvious landings in IL2's at Gelendzhik without elevators or rudder - 1 in 10 chance of surviving and I made 2 in a row (Died in the third )

Also, how the fook you got 5 AKills/Death and 6 Sorties/Death?? Super H4x0r cheat or what??

Been ages since i played, but always remember being chased into cloud by my mate in my mig-3, faking a dive just before i went in, cutting the power, rolling off the top to drop in right on his 6, i could have punched him i was that close lol.power back on, waited for him not to be so close and took him out

That IL2 torpedo run we did in VEF, with loadsa Marlins donw low and Trig and Dak flying top cover... my first kill with voice comms and using them to full effect to clear Hat's six by blowing the tail off a 109, my first BnZ kill (which was the other night), one pass, a few rounds and he went down.... Me, Knox and a couple of others (think it was Kami and maybe Tumble?) taking off in I-16s in an air raid, taking out a couple of the bombers then getting into a full on furball with 109s and taking two of them down before bailing with a knacked engine, and I got accused of deliberately lagging the game!

Oh, and in a fun DF server, sitting behind Hat waiting for him to finish off Skii, getting impatient and shooting over the top of Hat to PK Skii.... then later on wasting all my ammo on Skii before ending up with him on my six so we had a very long ground hugging d/f up and down the valleys till my engine was fried.... then he killed me...

My first VEF kill (pre Marlin days) flying a MiG3 over a wintry landscape, getting thoroughly lost, when I chanced upon a pair of 109's. I picked one, on his tail, and fired and fired and fired - not sure if I was hitting him - until suddenly lots of smoke started to appear and he went in. My first human VEF kill! I was so elated I didn't notice his wingman sneak up behind me

My first VEF as a Marlin. Diving down from great height (in a Mig 3 I think) to save Hats bacon in a DF with Mytzu (Hat was in an I-16). Shot down Mytzu (but incurred his wrath by firing long after he'd caught fire - got a bit carried away! sorry Mytzu).

In one of my first VEF outings in a P-40 shooting down two human fighters. Both were caught while making spilt S manouvres, and both the arrogant SOBs were splitting blood and accusing me of cheating . They were too used to outperforming the I-16s and couldn't fathom how I'd out manaouvred them!

Bouncing and shooting down a 109 near Sevastapol (it was sitting solidly among a group of Stukas providing a suicidely slow close escort) with my LaGGs rockets It didn't seem fair somehow. He nearly got me back though. The pilot had hit the fire button, probably out of surprise, moments before his pilots was roasted extra crispy, and the death grip sent a spiral of cannon and machine guns rounds all over the sky as the flaming remains sycamored down to the beach below.

    7000 metres....109's at 5 to 6 in yoyo fashion....

nose down, speed builds, 109 goes up ahead of me.....pull back smoothly....up under the 109...he's oblivious and just about to hammer head....

45mm Yak9 K round straight into his wing....those shells create so much muzzle flare I never even saw his plane....I just flew through the gap between his wing and his fueselage.

I WISH I'd recorded that......I have no idea how much lead I had put on him, or how far above I'd aimed.

Only one thing went through my head...

"sh1t, I'm very close, if I dont blown him apart I will fly straight into him in about 2 seconds flat"

    Seemed to work tho

I jumped onto a full real server in Hyperlobby and took on 2 Yaks on my 109K, basically I out climbed them, and on both kills I was able to pull a corkscrew climb avoiding thier shells and was able to put a volley right through their engines on the way back down.

Unfortunately the moment I killed the second one (who happened to be hosting) he pulled the plug on the server - sore loser

Going way back I remember being chased by Shadow on the Kuban map - I was in a 190 and my single window of kill oportunity had been used and I was fleeing for my skin, shadow was right behind me as tracer pinged past getting horribly closer.
As he closed for the kill I aimed to clip a tree line, and as I shaved the trees I chopped the throttle, pulled back on the stick and rolled to execute a barrel-roll, spitting Shadow out infont of me - I opened up with the 20mms and took his wing clean off.

My favorite moment of all was chasing Hat with Dak close behind me - I was in a G6 with gunpods and managed to hit Hats fuel tank - me and Dak flew right through the middle of the explosion, it was quite a jaw-dropping moment.

I did actually record it, but sadly I've lost the file... of when Clingy, in his IL2 loosed a hail of AJ-2's at a train and handily took out the pursuing 109 as well

I've got no tales, but I did shoot out Trig's engine in his Me-262 from 850 metres in a spitfire with one shot from each of my cannons.

Mind you, those 262 engines catch fire faster than a petrol soaked firelighter in a pure oxygen atmosphere at a pyromaniacs convention!
