I was planning on making it, but my football training didn't finish till 11:45pm, after i'd changed and had a shower and something to eat, it was about 12:30. 1hr to get there and i felt for £22.50 or whatever the price of the tickets where it wasn't worth it.

Hope you guys had a good time and i'm looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Fantastic Display. The 747 was Awesome. We stood right at the far west end of the airfield, and I have never seen the Red Arrows so close.

Dak, I took 150+ piccies on Davids digicam... it has 1/2 GIG (!) memory so they're at silly resolution of something like 2047 x 1900 or something...
davids gonna whack em on a CD for me and then I'll crop em and get em up here.

Doufos, we cant have been far up from you... we were down the western end too, about 30 meters further on from the Dragon Rapide. The Hunter dropped its chute directly in front of us.

And to whet your appetites... I have excellent shots of the Arrows, the WWI 'dogfight', the 100 flight in 100 formation, plus plenty of different MK Spits, Hurricane, then P-40, P-51, P-47, C-47, P-28, Cub, Venom, Meteor, Harrier (doing the 'bow'), Tornado on full reheat, Wright Flyer taxing, 747-400 and B-17G.

The taxi way was RIGHT infront of us so I got most of these as they taxied by too. Unfortunately the Hurri pulled off the runway waaay before he got anywhere near us so I only got a few of him flight.

Best flight of the day? Either watching a 747 do a 'dirty' fly by at 100ft then trun within the area of the field at 300 ft, or the B-17 practically standing on a wing in a turn, or the Harrier bowing the flying sideways 400m to then do a spinning climb.

Most memorable moment? Having my eardrums shut down and still FEELING the sound of a Tornado doing a fast break at full re-heat and getting the full effect of the afterburners pointed straight at us. Or watching the break flaps flip over the exhausts on the Tornado as he taxied by... amazing... Or the Arrows doing a new move called the Corkscrew and listening to the flight leader patched in over the tannoy giggling like a school boy at the end of the move...

hearing about that 747 reminds me, anyone seen pushing tin, where they stand under a 747 on approach and get thrown around by the turbulence?

I'll get the camera to David today, he can burn it all to disk and we'll get it hosted.

What a day........to see 7(?) Spits, a Hurrican, a P47D, a Mustabg, a Wild Cat, a Hell cat and a ....er......summit else....all make the number 100 in the sky as a fly by was ...frankly the eyes were wet

The Shuttleworth Clipped Wing SPit was involved, but I gotta say....when it comes to sound and noise to make ya go all "moist" a P40 and a P47 do it all day long

AND.....I would beg to add a further point of perfection.....the dude with the Microlight and his flock of Geese

What a way to open a show (after the Arrows...natch )

and for future ref: I wanna be a 747 400 pilot.....even I COULDNY STALL THAT BITCH! 102 knots stall speed (he was empty and weighed on 53% of his maximum flight weight.....) so to see a 747 in a 60 degree banked turn was amazing....and he climbed...god did he climb.....the ME109 must be a pre-decessor.....that thing goes up like a baloon.....the extension of the flaps was just awesome....

    OH!!!!!!

WHAT'S WITH THE EXHAUST VENT BLOCKS on a TORNADO....

split second, high pitched whix noixe and 2 hooge square baffles pop outta no where and shut off the exhaust ports for reverse!

What a NOISE and the BEST was for a "pose" on the drive by after deafening us with re heat and the most awesome vertical climb...

    top top day...

and all after a "funny as hell" Dance Mat night, witrh David monstering the contestants with my AirZooka
