Clingy...are you about to spend some more dough?

I just saw a cloud of moths breezily flap past my window, so I wondered if you had opened your wallet for a new Vid card?

    What ya got planned matey?

Aye m8. I must have let it slip in that Antec PSU Thread. 6800 standard. Another week and Lowestonweb will have them OEM Leadteks in for £170 Inc Vat + Del.

I thought pedals were broke, but not sure whether it was software as they appear to be OK now. No way I am going to live after getting those £500 pedals I saw. And I need £80 ish for X52 as soon as its released.

Edit - Got nice Bonus you see and need to spend a bit before my "accountant" invests it (well pays my debts off).

    one ast thought. a simple thing....the water looks....less good....on the 6800 than a Radeon.

Most other stuff it was a bit faster than my 9800Pro, so other games will love it. But in FB and AEP at least..it was ....less good.

Cheers bud, but I dont wanna get a 9800pro, although at £120 it was quite tempting. From all I read the 6800 is way ahead of the Radeons at all price levels. Whatever it is, it will be a vast improvement on the old Ti4400

6800 standard models, are , frankly....bloody awesome. I "borrowed" one from David, and the core went right up to GT speeds with no effort at all. Its trounced my Radeon 9800Pro in 3dmark, UT2003 etc.

BUT the water looked silly in IL-2 Its why I got rid of it .....it was......un textured,,,a bit black

If you read the readme in PF it mentions the 6800's having a slight problem.

You maybe correct but that goes against just about everything I have read. I get the distinct impression that the X800 is a fudge, a stop gap to try and combat the 6800 while they get a proper card sorted.
