I've not really kept up on this tbh, installed it, played it for about 20 minutes n thats it so far so I've not noticed whats missing and whats not, as I understand it tho the game was too big to fit on 2 CD's so they have a patch for whatever was oversized, seeing as the games been released then the patch should of been available at the same time...

Tig, thats right, its not official, but at least it makes the game more playable...

Trig, according to Plane_Eater, Ubi specified a 2 CD release and 1C went over the limit. Ubi had budgeted for a 2 CD release, so thats what we've got.

Geist, go ask that over on Ubi forums and watch you post get flamed, then closed, then deleted. Its a perfectly reasonable question, but look into it further and it would appear to be an excuse rather than the truth.

Oh and now the official line, according to Ubi forums, si that Ubi are hanging onto the patch until the game is out in the US, which should have been today... so where's the patch? And why hang on until the US have got it? Surely having the ENTIRE fanbase all trying to download the patch puts more strain on their servers than releasing it now, letting us Europeans get it and then the US guys can get it as they get the game?

Of course, ask any of those questions and you'll get stonewalled.... I'm just waiting on a ban from Ubi tbh.

Well I just spoke to Ubi tech support, who are not aware of any of the problems OR of a patch coming out.

Fair to say that there could be a comms problem within Ubi, or the guys only get their info off of the official websites, but surely they'd have some clue of a patch?

maybe the patch itself has nothing to do with Ubi, and is being done directly by Oleg? seeing as it won't need a CD to install it.... that *might* explain why Ubi know nowt about it.. of course they could just be incompetant nincompoops....
