I've used the 8.07 beta's for a while now with no problems. The ATI 4.11's are based around the 8.07 betas so I'd advise you to use them.I've updated to these 4.11's and I seem to have got a nice little boost of around 400 in 3d 03/05..Don't use the 4.9's or 4.10's as these have a 256mb bug? Which hinders the cards performance.
    You say 4.12's.Are these beta?

The latest isn't always the best due to flaws and bugs, as the 4.9's proved. (again)

right I was playing around with all these the other night on the 9800 pro. The 4.11's were ok in FB+AEP and papola in PF. They also did a funny bug in HL based games - any scoped action was impossible as the picture was waaaaay too dark. haven't tried the 4.12's yet... but I'm back on the 4.2s for the moment.

PF is just badly coded I think....the sea is simply too much...and once the fog starts....slide show.

Spose I'll have to go down from AA 8x and AF 4x and 1280x960 /sigh

    That's what I meant before - even though I didn't say it

The readme for the patch says there's loads of graphics updates/modifications, including carriers and water - so it'd be a good idea to test it
