    LAN WAN Countdown

OK......in 1 week and a day it will begin

FIRST: I have reinstalled XP (so TiG will need to reset my network but he was so damn fast at it anyway, no worries )

Broad Band Phat Pipe is running full steam at 1mbit down and 256 up

1 gig DDR 333 installed and it helped loads

TiG has a 14 port hub and a long cable and loads of short ones.

I have a huge table and loads of chairs, plus a miedium table....Deck..still bring yours incase we split the LAN to seperate rooms later on.

YOU ALL NEED to consider.....BRING THE GAME ITSELF
Joysticks......I have three mains power splitters, but more would be good.......REMEBER SPEAKERS......I have spare set for Tumble to use on TiGs PC...and REMEBER SPEAKER LEADS....mini jack to phono.

Sleeping bags and pillow if you are girly and need sleep at all (Tumble, just a bag mate, you can rest your head on Deckards lap )

Data disks with MAPS ON......or URLS to download them from.

Microphones IF you want to be using Voice Comms...(although we should all be in the same room )

Any other game disks for other Lanning...(UT, Q3. Half Life etc) although Idont anitcipate much of that

Anyother stuff people? Beer clearly (Tumble, dont worry about that)

I shall go shopping on Firday , so everyone decide want ya wanna eat all weekend.....I'll nail it.

God Im looking forward to this.....

no need to sort speaks out Zak - bringing my headset - gives me better directional awareness of planes around me, plus helps cut out the noise from everyone else got a mic on that built in

I think Dungeon Siege would be amusing with a few people too, its great plus i'm sure its not possible to play FB for all that time, my experience of Lans in the past is i get bored of the same game after 6-8hrs, and need a change.

Quake 3 is also fun, not CS far to crap waiting when you get shot immediately, or bf1942.

Are we going to be playing some VEF?...

I've got half-life for light netertainment - more UT stylee, will run on the most basic of PC's and you only need the one disk to play on a LAN (and that's to install it) I'll bring that along
