Bidding ends July 1st.
Once-in-a-lifetime chance to sit in our Focke Wulf Fw 190 "White 1" while the engine is started and warmed up.
Current Bid - $700
The winner will, under supervision of course and with some ground training, be allowed
to pre-flight the aircraft, sit in the cockpit, and start the engine. It is a unique opportunity
for some lucky warbird buff to experience first hand the power of a WWII fighter.

Final date to be announced as work progresses. Winner will be responsible for all travel, lodging,
and must sign a release of liability. Proceeds go directly to the restoration.

I'm quite lucky that I work at the same airfield as the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, so I get to see the Spitfires/Hurricanes/Lancaster Bomber/Dakotas running and in flight regularly. If I get really chummy with those guys, I could problably blag a flight in the bigger aircraft (would probably take a lot of beer to do that though! Haven't tried yet)
