The problem for LED in particular is there are no standards.

Yes, but this was true with CFLs. I don't think the market should be regulated as the LEDs are getting better each year.

Moving on, I'd like to see more electrical products showing energy consumption in KWh and even better, review sites testing for electrical consumption.
