My mum has 'a friend' - are you anywhere near London? PM me I guess, if so. I can't claim they will be amazing but my mum. The price is apparently about right there.

Be Careful on the Internet! I ran and tackled a drive by mining attack today. It's not designed to do anything than provide fake texts (say!)

I am currently using NBM Law - I used them once for my house purchase and everything was smooth, however I am now using them to sell my flat and its been a nightmare, most of the mistakes have been from the buyers solicitor who has in turn confused my own solicitor, both solicitors have had a minor falling out and this has made the process slow.
Would I recommend them? Probably. They are cheap, have an online case tracking system where you can upload your documents and considering the circumstances I don't think many other solicitors would have been better.

Not near London I'm afraid.
In order to make money the conveyancers usually have a number of sales ongoing. As soon as too many queries arrive they start getting confused.
The last one we used seed to sit on queries for a while before we new they had been raised.
