“You will live better because of the infinite freedoms that the LG borderless TV will give you,” LG said.
Someone actually got paid to come up with that particular bit of marketing excrement.

    o_o

what an utterly, utterly, utterly retarded campaign

*genuine* borderlessness might be interesting for me, if they did it in a 42" model

I'd be concerned that it would unravel without anything to keep hold of the edges.

And that really is a capital-punishment-deserving piece of marketing bullsh1t speak, as noted above.

I love the idea of a borderless tv, as in the screen goes all the way to the edge... but apparently this doesn't so it isn't a borderless tv.

TBH, I don't think true borderless would really work, because a bezel helps to frame the image and create a divide between the picture and the setting of the TV.

Look, they've cleared this issue up, OK?

It clearly IS borderless because it gives you infinite freedom.

A real borderless TV might be nice but I expect one with a small unobtrusive border would be best - otherwise it might be hard to concentrate on the picture the display gives you with out suddenly realising that part of what you think is the scenery is actually your wallpaper!

I've love a couple of border-less TVs for ultra widescreen dual monitor viewing.

Talking of which why can't someone make a borderless monitor while they're at it?

I'm assuming the point is that the screen is flush with the "border", so it's just one big flat panel.

As said previously though, if the picture doesn't go to the edge, it isn't borderless. Snore.
