Loads of butter and white pepper
Top layer to bottom layer
Cayenne pepper + Black pepper
Good quality mature cheddar cheese
Sweet potato mash with skin and my proprietary spice mix
Generous quantity of butter (made out of goats milk)
Well done piece of decent quality wholemeal bread
Cheese but it has to be toasted under a grill, secondary to that is nutella spread.
Toast with multiple toppings is just madness.

If a) I had a Christmas dinner toast (had to be toast otherwise the gravy causes the bread to disintegrate) sandwich containing turkey, pigs in blankets, sliced roast potato, mashed potato, bread sauce, stuffing, left over veg and gravy. It was a thing of beauty to behold...And didn't taste bad either but much much alcohol imparted a certain randomness to it's consumption.

Bacon and Cheese toast pizzas for me! Toast + butter + ketchup (or tomato puree) + bacon (cut into pieces) + cheese melted on (a decent mature chedder)

I was going to do a multiquote of the various cheese options divided into "yes" and "no" camps, but there's far too many to make it viable. Basically anything that has excessive messing around gets a thumbs down from me - don't sully the purity
For me it's:
Grill one side of bread
Turn over
spread with mayo
cover with grated cheese
back under grill until cheese/mayo mix is golden all over, with some darker brown spots.
Result.
