Which stainless steel mixing bowl for Kenwood Chef A701A?
Hi,
Can someone please help. I have been googling this for days and can't find the answer. I have just bought a Kenwood Chef A701A. I would like to buy a stainless steel mixing bowl for it. Does anyone know if 17551 or 18749 is the correct one. As far as I can make out the latter will fit but there is only one available on ebay. There are more 17551 available which would be more preferable as they will probably sell for less.
Thanks in advance for your responses.
Sharon

An A701A is quite an old one isn't it?
For an A701A you need one of these offically...

but it's some serious dough... hence I guess you looking for the second hand one.
so the one you can see on ebay, is prolly worth buying and risking.. cos if it's wrong (highly unlikely) it'll sell on ebay again!
I really don't think the locking slots in the base have ever changed since your's was made..... so you should be fine. (Your's is an A701A)...the A700 was the original, was not a "Chef" and WAS different)
My logic for that is from this site:
http://kenwoodchefrestore.co.uk/Bowls.htm
where the seller claims
Quote:
MIXING BOWLS - CHEF
Chef - All bowls listed here fit from A701 to present.
so... I say buy it

Seriously, the only thing I would be concerned about is the height (will the top of the mixer lock in the down position) and to s lesser extent, the diameter (will it actually fit), but if the spec on the Kenwood sight says that it fits all models (except... - and yours isn't an exception) then you should be OK. You may find it is smaller than the 'correct' part though.
