I am very very fussy when it comes to whites, but the wife brought this one back to try:

Milford Point Sauvignon Blanc (2012, Marlborough)

And it's an absolute cracker. If you like gooseberry/elderflower overtones you're in luck. Currently 'half price' (ie normal price) at Sainsburys. It's absolutely worth it.

Let us know how you get on - I think it's something special, which for me and whites is unusual (I like a good white Rioja as well). We've just snapped up a case of the Milford Point to keep us going, though I gather it's often on 'offer' so shouldn't be too hard to get if you miss out this round.

If you like marlborough sauvignon blanc try Old Renwick Road from Tesco. My favourite Nz white at the moment.
