Heads up: Morrissons have Wolf Blass Yellow label at £4.99
might only be short term... go get.
OK, it's not Wolfbass' finest by any means.. but it beats the crap outta most £5 bottles. Buy a dozen... get em ready for Christmas.
AND.... while you're in there.... get a couple of bottles of Batemans Rosey Nosey ale :) £1.50 each.
Win

Don't worry with the government jacking up on alcohol tax, expect to pay more know,so I would stock up.
Funny that it other countries, alcohol is cheaper and yet people are fine. As usual,it seems here in Blighty, jacking up prices is the only way to solve problems!! ;)

Expect the prices of better brands to start increasing,if cheaper wine is going to be at least £4.22 a bottle.

They're doing what? Since when?
I knew there was a minimum price thing coming, but that's nothing to do with tax and won't affect anything above that minimum price.
Many other countries have minimum pricing, and the evidence seems to be that it saves a lot of lives.
Re: Heads up: Morrissons have Wolf Blass Yellow label at £4.99
If they are going to bump up the price of nasty vodka like glenns to £15 odd a bottle - they will have to put the price of regular vodka thats already at that price. Given the choice would you drink Glenns or Smirnoff Red label ( of course the correct answer is neither , they're both pish ;) )
Re: Heads up: Morrissons have Wolf Blass Yellow label at £4.99
They'll only have to if they're forced to stock (and thus sell) the cheap stuff. Nothing stopping a competitor keeping their existing profit margins on the good stuff and just not stocking rubbish.

They will just jack up the price on the better stuff.
Education is more important, not simply the case of just making stuff more expensive, which seems to be way that the UK handles loads of things. That has been tried with so many other things and has not really worked and then have people make excuses for it.
Other countries have much cheaper alcohol, and seem to be fine. Pricing is not the problem, attitude is.

And their competitors won't.. so you'll go there instead and they'll have to lower the price again.

It's not mutually exclusive. Education continues as well.

Other countries that have introduced minimum pricing have saved lives. All the evidence suggests it will save lives here as well.
