    Saving space ?

If you needed to save space so your keyboard length was short (under 9") or hidden / removed but were still looking for something with more omph for gaming than current hybrids what would you do ?

I don't mean a laptop keyboard, I mean a short desktop keyboard. A small keyboard and low footprint monitor will probably take up less desktop space than a laptop.

This sounds like it could be XMG. Used by a gew progamers from SC2 and come highly recommended from what I've read.

    Gaming use, you say?

Razer Nostromo... or whatever their current version is called.
That, or the Logitech G-13 Gameboard.

These should have more than enough keys and controls for most games, especially a basic WASD-based shooter/action thing like Mass Effect, CoD, etc... Unless you're playing an MMORPGGOORPOGGOFPSOG thing like WoW, where you need a million key combos and macros and scripts just to open the front door of your fortress!!

I personally used a Nostromo, which had so many keys that I could execute up to nine simultaneous commands between it and my mouse, to pull off some dazzling moves in Freelancer.
I used to sit central on the sofa, Nostromo on the cushion to my left and mouse to the right, while playing on a 10" Netbook on my lap - Plenty stable and comfy to use!

    Re: Saving space ?

I almost ended up getting a crazy deal from the US, but Im guessing customs opens them all to check model / brand .

Why dont all laptops just have 360 hinges to save space / make up for bad keyboards ????

lo.....it's me.. "pain in the arse idea specialist" .....

    would you consider this idea?

PC in tower unit..... gaming spec, down on floor.

Wifi keyboard with mouse on a tray/platform for bed

and a PROJECTOR firing onto the wall?

    Paint wall white.

I have an HD projector for films, but it takes a monitor cable too, obviously

Speakers... seperate? Don't need surround for gaming, but it's not hard to BUY surrounds anyway....

what do you think? Monster project

You will NEED a dark room.,...v thick curtains or black out blinds..

In summer... a tad warm for a few months.. but in autumn/spring/winter, it'll heat the room
