damn, where would u put it? well i guess if u have the money to pay for a massive LCD TV, u'll have a equally massive living room to put it in.

Well you say "retail" but you aren't going to find it in your highstreet electrical store are you?

I can't decide whether the main market for this will be overpayed "celebrities" and sports "personalities" or the corporate sector.

thing is, 1080p isn't really enough.

how will you get content to drive it?

Well it depends, as a presentation or advertising screen driven by a PC i think it would be great.

I can imagine these going used as medium sized billboards in airports. especially when rotated 90degrees as seems to be common practise now.

I'd like to know the insurance costs for whacking a £52k LCD TV in a public space where it can easily be damaged/nicked (well maybe not nicked given the weight!)

I reckon they'd be used for people's home cinema systems, like you see on some swanky footballer's house.

Personally I'm going to wait until the 108" OLED TVs come out though

I believe that the John Lewis store in Oxford street stocks a 106" or 108" beast

lol most JL stores will stock up to 50" but only the flagship store has anything bigger. I only know this as was looking for a 52" samsung, and got told dont have anything bigger than a 50" apart from the Oxford street store that has 106" or 108"

Well Aberdeen does (or did a couple of weeks ago when I was in) have a 65" Panasonic on display. And very nice it was too

the 106 in london is impressive for the size, but the picture quality is v poor.

Personally if i was in that situation i'd consider a projection system. Could quite easyily cluster them!
