Re: Headlines - Police using YouTube to highlight inappropriate 999 calls
Personally I think there should be a panic number to call e.g. 333 Then if you're wife has left you without any food to eat you can be comforted by someone who can say "maybe, just maybe there was a reason for it".
Also how many grans are using Youtube. they are never going to get the message. They need to do a proper TV/Radio advertising campaign. Idiot calls 999 "i've lost my keys" while someone else is trying to call 999 and cant get through but they're trapped in a building on fire. Really hammer it home to people. |

Re: Headlines - Police using YouTube to highlight inappropriate 999 calls
They need a non-emergency number to call thats known and is the same nationwide. Police cars now show non-emergency numbers on them, but they are just standard numbers and not easy to remember.
A new number e.g. 777 could be introduced and just act as a call routing centre for non-emergency situations. |
