| Re: News - BBC to roll out iPlayer HD we actually watched this in my lecture theatre today and the refresh rate seemed poor. Im gunna try it on my PC here as the cmputer they use is a single core 3GHz. Works fine for blu ray and such but the bulk of the decoding is passed onto the GPU for that and im assuming this uses the CPU for the decoding. | Re: News - BBC to roll out iPlayer HD lol - I'll be watching all of my TV between 12am and 7am then (unlimited overnight downloads!). Acxtually, iPlayer lets you download for watching later, doesn't it... have they built a timed download feature into that yet? |

| Re: News - BBC to roll out iPlayer HD This could kill your broadband limit though as a 1 hour HD prog is about 1.5 gig. Hopefully, this will finally get ISP's to realise that the majority of their customers are now going to be streaming HD content and they will need to remove their download limit. I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem. |
