Freemans are legally obliged so get it sorted for you, they are liable, not Samsung.
12 months isn’t really relevant either. The sales of goods act allows for claims up to 6 years after purchase where there has been a breach of contract (and suffice to say that a TV being faulty in under a year certainly is). http://www.dti.gov.uk/consumers/fact...page24700.html I have loads of experience in this field, so shout if you need a hand. |

I know what the law is, but I would rather deal direct with Samsung and bat away thier excuses than have freemans take it back and send it to samsung for freemans to accept their excuses.
The problem for freemans is this TV is not available anymore. The benefit for me is I get a new model in exchange ![]() Matt. |

Well just to post an update, returns label arrived this Saturday gone, called UPS who collected on Monday, was delivered yesterday.
Just got a call from Samsung Logistics, they have a tv for me, a brand new Bordeaux model (woo!) thats going to be delivered this Friday. Apparently I also get a new 1 year warranty with it too. Samsung, you redeemed yourself well, at the very last minute you managed to restore faith, close call mind.... Matt. |

Hi Matt
I have also had a problem with Samsung which resulted in them giving me an exchange for my TV. I also had really bad customer services from them and still are to this date. I sent my TV back to them on Tuesday 2/1/2007 and they recieved on 3/1/2007 but unlike yourself i am still without a TV and they have not contacted me to explain more, plus if you try and contact the customer service team its not easy to speak to the right person to help. Do you by any chance have the number for the logistics department that contacted you to arrange the replacement, thought I might be able to chase them up Thanks |

Mate, just mention the sale of goods act and the small claims court and that'll soon get them to pull the finger out. It's not even a question of you being reasonable (which you are) because you are legally well within your rights to complain and demand it to be made working again (via repair or exchange).
