    RAMdisk recommendations

    I've just snatched a good deal on 32GB of DDR3 2400.

I do a fair bit of work with compression algorithms which will happily eat as much RAM as you can give them and still want more.

When I'm not crunching data, I'm doubtful I'll ever use more than 12-16Gb so was thinking of running a 16Gb RAMDisk during my "normal" day. Photoshop Scratch disk, and temp directory for some other apps.

So, my question about RAMDisks (since the last ones I used were 15-20 years ago on the CLI):

Is there a good piece of software (on Windows 10) for RAMDisks that people tend to use? Ideally I'd like FOSS, but all entries are considered. I've seen SoftPerfect RAM Disk, which looks quite good.

    Cheers

Excellent, just what I needed, thanks. SoftPerfect seems fairly capable, but a couple of others I'd like to test out. Primo looks very good, but a bit pricey.

    Re: RAMdisk recommendations

Ive only just recently heard of Ramdisk... Yeah must have being living under a rock for the past two decades, but I'm just about to update my pc to 32Gb of DDR4 ram, I'm sure there will be a few scenarios or ideas that i could use Ramdisk.
Thanks to the recommendations on the post
