exchange 360 premium for elite?

hi i was wondering if amnyone knows any places where i can sell my 360 along with the hdd and one wireless controler and get an elite for maybe half of the original price? my 360 broke a while ago and i am thinking of exchanging it so that i get an elite which has better heatsink apparently?

where did you buy it from?

My mate got his from game and it broke so he took it back and they allowed him to get a credit note and pay the extra to get the elite.

Remember the xbox360`s all have a 3 yr warranty now

nope im getting it back next week so i want to trade it in for a elite so at least i have a 360 with a new heatsink and this time i will keep the reciept and if it mess up again i wil send it back to GAME..

does the elite have a new heatsink and/or the new cpu?

i bought mine from HMV over a year ago but lost the reciept

generally, newer consoles have better heatsinks (the elites being the easiest ones to identify as new)

but no xboxen have 65nm chips yet

I saw a pic of an elite in a demo pod with the 3 red lights on but could have been photoshopped cant even remember which site I saw it on.

can't remember the full details but there was 2 offers one for the core and one for the premium.... there not going to do a straight swap.... iirc it was trade in the premium against an elite and you pay £100 -ish

no-shop in their right mind would do a straight swap.

To be honest, unless your hdmi hunting there seems no real reason to upgrade to elite.

He's right - anything from £140 to £165 for trade-in dependent on where you go.

Upgrade for HDMI to reduce cable clutter....bigger HD wahoo - not.

Reports are some are as noisey as the old premiums, some say quieter - Ikonia ???

Fair few people will wait for the next revisions with the smaller chip manufacturing process. 65nm I think - correct me if I am wrong.
