Unachievable achievements.

Can be either XBLA or full retail games, what achievements are you probably never going to get?

My top 3 XBLA...

3. Hexic. Grand Pearl Pooh-Bah. 25g.
Surround one piece with six black pearls.

Yeah right. I've never made a black pearl, so what chance I am going to make 6... and then manage to get them in a nice hex shape around a single piece? I'll tell you what chance, no 'kin chance. I doubt I'll ever get the 3 black pearls achievement. Withut a lot of practice I'll never even make a black pearl. Well solid.

2. Smash TV. Game Master. 50g.
Finish the entire game without continuing while using default settings.

Everyone dies on Smash TV. It was designed as a quarter sucking arcade machine. You are supposed to die. In some places you have to die, like the bosses. They don't play fair, sometimes they just cover the half of the screen you are on, and you die. Nowt you can do about it. Impossible. Doubly so as its glitched. But even if its patched, it will not be done.

1. Ikaruga. Unstoppable. 25g.
Clear the game in any mode without using Continue.

I reckon about 0.0001% of people who have Ikaruga will get this. Once past the first level, which isn't easy by any means, you just get crushed into the floor time after time after time. Most people will never even finish Ikaruga without free play, let alone without using a continue. You will need to slowly, painstakingly learn each sub-section of each level, and even then putting it together into one run will take super human effort for anyone who isn't a DC \ Gamecube vet. WELL SOLID INNIT!!!!

I know the Hexic one is difficult however I know a few people that do have this achievement.

That ikaruga one must be the most difficult of any achievement there is. I struggle to get past the third level . Id vote for all gold medals in Portal, stupid stupid hard.

I know people who've done it. It's really hard though. One of my friends basically spent a month trying to get those achievements, I think he got them, not sure though. He definately got all silvers but I don't know about gold.

Also...all the flags and templars in assassins creed....theres so many =/

I wouldnt say the flags were DIFFICULT just time consuming and boring.

ill tell you what bugs me about achievements is people making them worth numbers that offset your score. I have had to live with either having a 4 or a 9 on my gamerscore for ages, it drives my ocd tendancies loopy!

Look there it is down there now..grrr

Oh and geometry wars has some pretty evil achievements to get as well

As I said, they are my personal well hard achievements.

I will be trying for the Ikaruga one though, as unlike Hexic its a brilliant game thats fun to play.

I think the worst achievements I have seen in the games I have are:

Zuma

Complete a level in under 5 seconds, virtually impossible I would say.

Snooker

Compete a 147 break - no chance in hell I am gonna do this

Stewart, I would agree with Smash TV. There ain't a hope in hell of getting a no continue achievement.

Here's a really annoying achievement. Breaking 300 bottles at the carnival shooting gallery in Bully. Why would you want to? It's not entirely exciting to do, you can shoot 10 to 20 bottles per sitting meaning you have to play the game 15+ times. Yawn. Snogging 25 girls was a much cleverer (and fun) achievement to get.

Only hexic one I've left to get is the 100 complete games.... it'll happen one day, just have to keep playing!

Quick (ish) way of getting that, start a game, make one move, then let the timer tick down. Takes about 30 seconds and counts as a game.

And as you only need to press a few buttons every now and again you can get it while you are doing something else.

Or just... you know... play 100 games normally.

1) How the ? - Kill an enemy using bullet penetration to shoot an explosive device through a wall.

Only hard one I've found.
