Incessant load problems with Lost Odyssey Disk 4

I've just got onto disk 4 of the game, which I have for the most part quite enjoyed. But my enjoyment has been ruined by the fact that I keep getting disk read error messages from the xbox dashboard, or freezing on the loading screens on a regular basis. This is making the game unplayable as I cannot get far between crashes.

Disk is new, as I said have only just got onto it, there are no marks or scratches on the disc, nor do I have this problem with any other game. Bought the game new from HMV but have lost the receipt. Can I still get a replacement if I bring it to the store and explain the problem or will I need to MS support?

depends how lucky you are some stores will swap it without a reciept but htey are few and far between.

i am on disc 4 and have had no crashes at all.

Problem sorted, I rang them a short while back and they agreed that they would exchange it this time, which I did the following day. I have had one repeat of the problem with the new copy but otherwise so far so good. Not sure why it happens but it's the only game I've had this problem with.

I used to get the dirty disc error on CoD4 and only on CoD4. My xbox died and I sent it off to be fixed. While it was away they installed a new DVD drive and since I've had it back I've not had a single read error yet.
