Xbox360 Profile Help

Hey

I tried signing on to xbox live today and its saying my xbox live data is corrupt, and i should recover my profile. The problem is, I've gotten about 800 gamerscore since i last went onto live. If i recover my profile, will i lose this? My profile works fine other than getting onto live.

I hate to say it but you more than likely will have lost your gamer points.

erm, I don't see how this is the case?

to recover a profile simply means that?

I've recovered my profile several times when at a friends and want to use it on their console.

I would suspect that any gamer points will be logged against the xboxlive account, not the profile, so long as the gamer points have been successfully saved thus far, there should not be any loss of gamer points.

long and short of it, if the OP can't access live without doing this, there's little to no choice anyway

i think he means the gamerscore that the OP has earned since last going on live......

Yeah, I'd also guess the 800 points would be gone.

any points gained before you had this problem will be retained, any points gained whilst offline and not uploaded to live will not retain so you will loose the 800 points that you've got sorry
