Ninja Gaiden 2
Got this yesterday, being a fan of the first game. Quick thoughts; very fast action, with loads of blood, chopping of limbs etc. BUT at times it seems to be an exercise in 'mash buttons', a tactic that works if you're quick on the buttons/

Re: Ninja Gaiden 2
I completed the original Ninjan Gaiden on the original Xbox. 1337 eh?
Now Ninja Gaiden II is just as rock hard (on Warrior difficulty) but I just can't beat the boss at the end of the 2nd Chapter. Got pissed off and haven't played it for a few days. I'll have him soon enough. Oh, and I love the Ninja Gaiden games ![]() |

Re: Ninja Gaiden 2
currently on chapter 6, some lovely touches in this game, not sure its as good as the original yet tho. Playing on Warrior and i appear to have died around 100 times so far, mainly on tricky bossfights when i didnt have enough health potion thingies and had to work out how to beat it properly
![]() So far Alexei has been the toughest, though that 2nd silver electric boss was pretty tough |

Violence and Lubrication is the solution to fixing everything, if it still doesn't work, you need more lubrication. |

- Build up your arrow shot to max and unleash on it's metal head (or anywhere if no head exposed). Big chucks of health come off. - Restock arrows at the dead ninja on the floor. - When a mass of metal flying slug things come at you (and the big floaty blue head) use a ninpo. This should stop you getting MASSIVE amounts of damage. Time it just right and you might not get any damage. - Then just keep on arrowing the sod. Easy (ahem) ![]() |

Re: Ninja Gaiden 2
on Volf now, by far the easiest boss yet, but the mobs that come after him are never ending, need to go retry.

Re: Ninja Gaiden 2
got to chapter 10 on this now, then hit a save point, killed a bunch of mobs, went back to the save point and when i reloaded up with half a bar of health and no herbs etc, found that the mobs had all respawned, impossible to get to next stage really.
So, after a while i restarted the game, got back to level 10, discovered all these tests of valour i had missed first time around, got lots more weapons and upgrades and kicked ass all the way through level 10 where i came to an FMV sequence, where the game just halts.... AARRRGHHHHHHH need to give game back to my mate, get him to return it and get another copy and then give it to me again ![]() |

Re: Ninja Gaiden 2
Bought this pre owned from our local Grainger Games for £20 after playing the demo. Damn its fast and the first end of level boss was pretty tough, ended up using my extra life scroll halfway through the battle. Its very visceral must admit but absolutely awesome. Just getting used to pulling off the combos, best one so far has been 49.
Must admit, never played the first game but believe it is available on XBox live. Methinks a purchase has to be done! Loving this one though! |
