How can I get sound from my Xbox 360?

I want to plug my Xbox 360 into my new Dell 2709W monitor. Getting the video signal via component connections isn't the issue. Sound is. My Dell monitor is connected to my PC and I want to add the Xbox as another source to it. But, I have managed to overlook the sound side of things in my excitement to get the Xbox 360 hooked up.

I have a set of Creative speakers on my desk and these have a 3.5mm stereo jack as an aux in. Is there a way that I can make use of this aux in on the speakers to get sound from my Xbox 360?

You need a combination of adapters, or there may be an all in one.

Essentially you need a male 3.5mm stereo jack to female phono leads (which would then plug into your speakers and xbox respectively)

Easiest thing to do is get a male 3.5mm to twin phono (red and white) male, and just buy a cheap phono coupler, then Robert is your father's brother.

I'm taking it the Dell doesn't have any audio facilities then?

The Dell doesn't have any audio facilities as standard. It does have a 'Dell Soundbar' option which I don't have.
