    1080p display question - Xbox 360

I've set my display to 1080p in the Xbox 360 dashboard. Will games play at 1080p automatically or do I need to set each game up as well (from the game's own menu settings)?

the games will all be shown at 1080p

however, only a couple of games render at that res (compared to rendering lower then scaling)

Thanks, directhex. Just to be clear: the game will render at it's best resolution and the Xbox will then upscale that to 1080p?

    jus a quickie,

is that true for most games? because pretty much every game states on the back of the box 1080p. i assumed the game would be at that res and not upscaled by the console
