Which new phone? My current contract runs out with vodafone in about 2 weeks (currently have a SE k800i) and im looking to upgrade to a new phone, but im just curious what does everyone think I should go for? I use my phone to obviously make phone calls, occasionally listen to music however I have my MP3 player to do that. I also take a lot of pictures so I need something capable of taking good snaps. Any recommendations? I like phones to be feature packed so Im open to suggestions. Thanks Mart

N73 has the same MP camera as yours and has a lot of nice features on it. There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't. Use the best: Linux for servers, Mac for graphics, Windows for Solitaire

on a 35 quid a month type contract i would think your looking at 200 quid. but think of what your getting in the phone. easily worth it, and you could sell it a year on for a few hundred i would think

Wait till the N95 comes out its great has a 5MP Camera and a GPS + cool sorts of extras. or you could cancel your contract and go on the x-series with 3 which is great read about it here http://www.three.co.uk/xseries/index.omp

To be honest, I'd say the K800i is still probably the best phone of its type still, particularly camera-wise. There is the 5mp KG920 but it's a bit clunky and slow to use, so I wouldn't recommend it tbh.

The K800i and N73 are both extremely ugly. At a push, I'd take the K800i but I'm under no illusions that either are attractive-looking phones. Personally, I use the K610i (same model, lower camera and add 3G) and have had no problems with the firmware, neither has anyone else I know, so I'm not sure where you get that from, and the K800i produces better photographs than the N73. I'm also really not a fan of Symbian at all. Personally, if the OP was just after "a change", the N73 would be worth considering but it's really not a step up no matter which way you look at it.

i have had two freinds on k800 and both have had to go back to SE. the camera is barley better, it is better but not by much. i wouldnt say that it was ugly its no lg choc, but its not meant to be. but tbh, i dont really care because i have the n73 and think it not only looks better than the k800, the screen is better, the menue is very nice, the pc suite is great, and it does lots of things that you can add on.

| I'm waiting for the N95, providing it lives up to the astonishing hype its achieving. On paper it sounds like a real breakthrough product, it just hope its not too big for me. The main thing that worries me about a smart phone with this many features is the interface. I am used to a touch screen WM5 device, i am not sure using the N95 will be a pleasant experience over time, it seems madness these days to have such overwhelming features and no touch screen. Especially for stuff like web browsing, which is painful in my experience. Anyway, i will probably give it a go when it finally turns up. I can't see it being £200 on a £35PM contract, more like £100 then free in a few months. But with the new version of Windows mobile due very soon, and some very tasty looking devices coming out, its going to be the hardest ever year for choosing a new model for myself.
