Nearly ready for my 3 upgrade

but not sure what to get. Currently got an N73.

I want to keep XSeries and I'd like WiFi.

Not sure when the N95 8Gb is being released of if it's worth getting.

    Any ideas?

Got the N95 on Xseries silver. Very happy!

I believe the 8GB version doesn't have a memory card expansion slot, and since you can now get a 6GB card for £38 I'd get the one which is out now. (Plus from the photos of the 8GB I've seen, the buttons are smaller which I wouldn't get on with.)

You can currently get the N95 for free on Three, my fiancé just got hers on a cheapish tariff with Xseries silver and it even came with 300 extra 3-3 minutes, and 120 video call mins. Their deals are bafflingly good at the mo!

So get it, now - it's a great phone and the deals are very good right now.

(And if you quote me as a referrer, you get £30 and so do I. Although maybe not if you're already a customer. That's honestly not why I'm recommending them, it's really good.)

i'm in a similar boat - almost upgrade time..but not sure what phone to get.

Three have no really good choices at the moment - I personally have a dislike for all the SE phones, which leaves the E61 or the N95 as far as I can see.

I might wait a bit longer and see if anything better turns up - the N95 is great apart from its battery life, and I dont really need the GPS as I have tomtom..

Yeah, I do a lot with wireless hotspots for work so it's good for checking things. My N73 doesn't have this but my E70 did

Re: Nearly ready for my 3 upgrade

I read somewhere that the N95 8GB (Black) is going to be released on 3 in the new year, Vodafone have an exclusive deal on it till christmas, and someone on another forum said that there's a picture of the new N95 in the November 3 in-store magazine saying 'coming soon'.

N95 8GB Black DOES have a memory card expansion spot, it also has the most up to date S60v3 firmware (with better RAM management I believe), it also has a bigger battery, more RAM and no camera lens.

I think I'm gonna wait it out, my contract finished at the beginning of the month (I currently have the N73 also)...

    No camera lens... cover

Also, are you sure about the internal card slot ? Many sites are saying no, and Nokia don't mention it, or offer any MicroSD cards in the accessories section of the N95 8GB page.

Is that firmware the one that allows N-Gage functionality ? They seem to be holding that back for the standard Nseries.

    Lens Cover he must mean?

I like the K850, or the P1i, but I'm a SE man. Had you considered a HTC phone? bit bigger though...

Remember also newer Sony Ericssons now accept MiniSD cards as well as M2, so its not gunna cost you a fortune to put a 1gb card in.

I'm looking at the Viewty but no wifi on it or xseries.

I'd get the K850i but I want my xseries!

Looks like I'm waiting for the N95 8Gb
