I've just got a sim free N95, I'm very please with it so far but being unwilling to incure data charges I want the UK maps held locally. I've used the Nokia maps loader and it downloads, verifys, etc but I still only get blankness on the phone, the GPS is working fine itself. I'm using the phone on Three i've configured MMS & Internet settings their all working fine. Many Thanks for any help. Also anyone know the cheapest supplier of a 6 or 8gb SDHC.

Re: N95 Maps query. Can't really help with the maps problem, but as for the memory card, you need a microSD card so are pretty much limited to 6GB right now. They are generally about the £35 mark http://www.google.co.uk/products?sou...&q=6gb+microSD EDIT: having said that, here is an 8GB one: http://uk.insight.com/apps/productpr...05HBQ&src=FRO1 Although interestingly, it doesn't appear on the SanDisk website for some reason.

Re: N95 Maps query. You cant load the maps without a microSD card, it wont load onto the internal memory. I found the GPS to be functional but not really usefull, still like the phone though! GK Keeper of the Gates of Hell

Re: N95 Maps query. But I've got the nokia 1gb micro sd and a spare 1gb, neither work not with the phone connected directly or using a usb card reader. It seems to download verify etc, yet the same old blank view on the phone. It's the latest firmware v12.0.013 19-06-07. Had it a week and it's only crashed once pretty good for a symbian ( I've had 3650,3230,6680 & a N70) Thanks.

Re: N95 Maps query. Hi.. the reason will be the your version of maploader is newer than the version of maps on your N95 Maps was updated recently for the phone and also a new version of maploader, the versions are not interchangeable... the latest version of maps is quite different from the original. the easy way to tell the difference is the words "nokia maps" above the world picture when the app is starting, also a new blue status bar at the bottom of the application with a small sattelite with 3 dots on the right.. go onto nokias website to download and install the new version of maps and you should be sorted
