    New HTC Touch Cruise

Has anyone seen any reviews/'hands-on's for this new HTC?

    HTC Touch Cruise

It looks like it's got a very similar spec to the tytn II but a slightly more iPhone-ish look. Which probably makes it a great phone...?

Nice video - it looks quite swanky! I'm gonna assume it works pretty well since it's prety much identical, internally, to the TyTN II.

Now all I have to do is buy one off contract next month and batter my iPhone owning friends around the head with it until they cry

    GPS + 3G good, no keypad/keyboard bad.

It's good to see Apple have woken up people with their UI though isn't it? Sooner or later HTC will produce my perfect phone at this rate

Surely that's what the TyTN II's there for? A little less flashy, a little more functional but essentially the same phone.

I don't disagree - i'm just reflecting my own view based on owning a pure-touchscreen phone - of the cruise. Hopefully the tytn2 will be cheaper next year

Strikes me as thou they've not changed their interface at all from the touch..... which was out a little bit before the iPhone, and really didn't change much of the interface at all (the touch cube thing was new i supose).

but as it stands its totally different from their offerings, most noteably the main screen WILL take a sodding age to load/render. But actually has useful data on it (news, weather, emails etc.).

Thank god Apple is there to inspire these people eh?... oh wait, no, its the evil MS.

    Re: New HTC Touch Cruise

AFter bit of fiddling I have the "touch cube" running on my kaiser, works really well. Havent plucked up the courage to flash a full custom ROM yet, 1 day in and I have TomTom, memory map navigator, various live apps (yahoo go seems good), etc installed. Have also got music in stereo running over my jabra headphones, with control of the music app on the buttons, so am really happy with it all. The yahoo go app also offers routing using the onboard gps, havent tried the latest offering from google yet.

    All the best

Nothing that's put me off it so far. Now all I've got to do is find enough stuff to sell for me to be able to afford it
